چکیده
The main purpose of this research is to develop T-joints between the aluminum AA 2024-T4 and 7075-T6 using friction stir welding. effect tool geometries, traveling speed, rotational rate in welded were investigated discussed. Three different tools used with shoulder pin ratios 3.28, 3.36, 4.31. After optimization, best dimension has welding speeds. traverse speeds 50, 75, 100 mm/min used. Two rotation rates 800 rpm 1000 applied. FSW, at a number above FSW parameters' combinations, macrostructure microstructure analyses done optical microscopy. In order have an insight into mechanical properties, hardness measurements tensile testing carried out. Using small ratio produced visually unacceptable T-joint. Opposite happened by 4.31 ratio. Furthermore, results showed sound T-welds no obvious defects high two Asymmetric temperature distribution was observed sides, advance side (AS) retreating (RS

Effect of friction stir welding parameters on the microstructure and mechanical properties of dissimilar AA2024-AA6061 joints
In the present study, to resolve the problems in fusion welding methods as well as to increase the strength, FSW method was used to join aluminum alloy sheets 6061 and 2024. Moreover, optimal parameters for joining of these two alloys were also taken into consideration. Various tool rotation speeds of 565, 950 and 1500 rpm were selected. For each tool rotation speed, two traverse speed variable...
